Expand Our Program Portfolio to Reduce Poverty
The reduction of poverty for women, girls and gender diverse people is central to everything YWCA Toronto does. Safe, secure and affordable housing, good jobs, and prevention initiatives across all our areas of work are essential contributors to poverty reduction strategies. Having identified poverty reduction as a program priority, we know that our Employment and Training programs have the capacity to serve a more diversified group of job seekers with different levels of job readiness. We also know that given our current housing footprint, we have the credibility and opportunity to expand our housing portfolio.
